It is mainly used for COS hydrolysis in large methanol plants (or coal to oil plants) to reduce COS to less than 5ppb. It is used in conjunction with HTS-1 or HTS-2 deep purification and fine desulfurizer to reduce the total sulfur (COS+H2S) content in the exported purified gas to less than 10ppb (0.01ppm), achieving deep purification and extending the service life of methanol catalyst to 5-6 years. This enables the replacement of methanol catalyst only once every two major maintenance cycles, resulting in greater economic benefits for the enterprise.

1. Good catalytic activity, high COS removal purification degree, and outlet COS content<5ppb (0.005ppm).

Two reaction principle
Under the action of EH-5 hydrolysis catalyst, COS reacts with trace water in synthesis gas to produce CO2and H2S. Then, HTS-1 or HTS-2 deep purification desulfurizer is used to remove the generated H2S, achieving the goal of deep purification (COS+H2S<10ppb). The reaction equation is:
COS+H2O====H2S+CO2      Δ H=-35.5KJ/mol
